Join ONELAB College
ONELAB College exists to redefine education for neurodivergent young people aged 16–25.
We believe education should be practical, ambitious, professionally delivered, and built around meaningful progression into adulthood, employment, enterprise, and independence.
Our model is built around a simple philosophy:
Design → Make → Sell
Learners don't simply study.
They create, collaborate, build, solve problems, work on real projects, engage with employers, and develop the skills needed for employment and adult life.
We're looking for an exceptional Job Coach to help make that happen.
The Role
This is not a traditional support role.
It is not passive supervision.
It is not simply accompanying learners to placements.
As a Job Coach, you will play a critical role in helping young people with SEND successfully transition from education into employment, independence, and meaningful adult lives.
You will support learners to:
Build confidence within professional environments
Develop employability and workplace skills
Understand workplace expectations and professional behaviour
Develop communication and social interaction skills
Learn safe working practices
Increase independence over time
Progress towards employment and positive destinations
You will work closely with learners, employers, Course Leads, and the wider ONELAB team to create experiences that are structured, supportive, professional, aspirational, and focused on real-world outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Learner Support & Employability

Employer Engagement & Placement Support
Build positive relationships with employers and placement providers
Act as a professional point of contact between ONELAB and employers
Support employers to understand learner needs and workplace adjustments
Monitor placement quality, learner wellbeing, and progression
Help identify employment pathways and progression opportunities
Health & Safety & Workplace Readiness
Teach learners how to work safely and responsibly
Support learners in understanding workplace health & safety procedures
Reinforce risk awareness and safe working practices
Support learners in understanding the safe use, handling, and maintenance of equipment, tools, machinery, and workplace resources where appropriate
Documentation & Reporting
Complete placement records and documentation
Support learner reviews and progress monitoring
Complete risk assessments and workplace checks where required
Maintain accurate and professional records
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about supporting neurodivergent young people
Calm, emotionally intelligent, and professional
Organised, reliable, and highly consistent
Proactive rather than reactive
Able to build positive relationships with learners, employers, and colleagues
Confident maintaining high expectations while providing support
Committed to helping learners achieve meaningful long-term outcomes
Experience within SEND, supported internships, employability programmes, careers guidance, youth work, education, coaching, workplace support, or post-16 provision would be advantageous.
What Makes ONELAB Different
At ONELAB, we combine:
Real-world learning
Enterprise projects
Employability experiences
High expectations
Strong learner support
Professional environments
Clear accountability
We do not believe in low expectations for young people with SEND.
We believe learners deserve ambitious opportunities, meaningful experiences, professional environments, and adults who genuinely believe in their potential.
