Based: Based across one (or more) of our regions - East/Midlands/London & North with frequent travel to and between schools and to our central offices in London.
Hours: FTE depending on region(s) and circumstances: we are open to colleagues wishing to work part time or full time and keen to explore specific models that work for strong candidates.

We are now seeking expert mathematics leaders from across England to drive subject-specific school improvement in each of our regions as Regional Mathematics Leaders.
About the role
These exciting new roles sit at the heart of our school support team. Working closely with our schools within a region, each Regional Mathematics Leader will build capacity and expertise to ensure excellent Mathematics teaching, leadership and student outcomes across the region.
You will lead the implementation of our Mathematics strategy across the schools, providing expert support and guidance to Mathematics leaders and their teams. You will use your experience and leadership skills to drive improvements in standards and teaching in Mathematics.
This role blends strategic development with practical hands-on support. You will be jointly accountable for subject performance and improvement with local leaders. This means working collaboratively with colleagues, giving advice and counsel and leading by example, including in promoting our shared values and mindsets. You will also have the opportunity to develop an area of national expertise to deliver impact across our network.
Reporting to the National Lead for Secondary Mathematics as part of an exciting new team of Regional Mathematics Leaders, you will work alongside Regional Education Directors, Heads of Department, Principals and other school leaders. This is a highly influential role, combining vision, expertise and effective implementation to make a meaningful difference to thousands of children nationwide.

You are an experienced and credible secondary Mathematics leader with a strong track record of improving Mathematics outcomes and teaching. You hold significant expertise in effective Mathematics education. You are strategic, network-minded and passionate about ensuring excellence as standard. This is a rare opportunity to make a difference to thousands of children and to influence national practice at scale, work alongside a highly committed, values-driven central curriculum team. There aren't many opportunities to drive your subject forward at a high leadership and impact level with flexible working and (funded) national travel. A real chance to make a lasting difference to children's lives.
The role is due to commence September 2026. This is a fixed term position for one year initially: however, Lift Schools is growing so there is scope for successful candidates to transition into a permanent role longer term.
