Industry Lead Business Development Director - IND1 TXM Recruit are working with a global intralogistics, technology and automation leader, helping major organisations transform their supply chains through advanced warehouse automation, robotics and software solutions. We are looking to find someone Director level who can help promote the onboarding of new FMCG clients, build strong C-Suite relationships and has a proven track record of driving new business growth within FMCG Warehouse Automation Salary: £115,000 per annum Location - Remote Bonus: 15% (5% company bonus + 10% based on order intake) Car Allowance: Included - Circa £8,000 Travel: 20–30% travel requirement (Global) Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the global FMCG market strategy, identifying priority markets, sub-segments, target accounts and growth opportunities. Develop and continually strengthen the value proposition for FMCG customers within warehouse automation. Identify and engage target customers through proactive business development, executive prospecting, industry events, campaigns and strategic partnerships. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Distribution, IT and Executive Management. Generate, develop and qualify strategic FMCG opportunities, assessing customer need, budget, authority, timing and commercial potential. Lead early-stage opportunity development, understanding customer challenges, investment drivers, business requirements and decision-making processes. Shape solution direction using your warehouse automation and industry knowledge. Work closely with regional sales teams to develop and execute strategic opportunities. Act as the FMCG subject matter expert across customer engagements, proposals, solution development and commercial discussions. Translate market intelligence, customer insight and competitor activity into recommendations for Marketing, Product Management and Go-to-Market strategies. Develop and maintain an FMCG go-to-market playbook covering successful sales approaches, propositions, customer use cases and market insight. Support regional sales teams with industry expertise, customer knowledge and best practice. Maintain strong CRM, pipeline management and forecasting disciplines.About You We are looking for a commercially driven FMCG leader with a strong background in supply chain, logistics, warehousing or warehouse automation. You will have a proven track record in strategic sales and business development, with experience winning new business, developing major accounts and influencing C-level stakeholders. Desirable Experience Warehouse automation, intralogistics, robotics or supply chain technology experience. Established relationships within major FMCG organisations. Experience developing new markets, industry strategies or go-to-market plans. Strong executive-level prospecting and account-based selling experience. Experience working with strategic partners, consultants or system integrators.Education A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Economics or a related discipline is preferred. A Master’s degree, MBA or equivalent advanced qualification would be advantageous.Why This Role?
