The company is looking for a reliable and hardworking Factory Operative / Forklift Driver (Stores & Despatch Operative) to join a busy manufacturing team in Coventry.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in keeping things organised, and wants to play an important part in a successful engineering business.

Shift Pattern/ Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am 5:00pm
Friday: 7:30am 2:00pm
30-minute lunch break
Weekly Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Experience Required
Minimum 12 years experience in a warehouse, stores, manufacturing, factory, or logistics environment preferred.

The Role What Youll Be Doing
Operating a forklift truck to unload and move materials safely around site.
Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries.
Locating, organising, and maintaining stock within the factory.
Removing and spinning swarf.
Operating and maintaining wash-plants.
Supporting production teams with general factory duties.
Preparing goods for shipment and ensuring orders leave on time.
Learning and following despatch procedures while working with courier and transport providers.
Maintaining and continuously improving factory housekeeping standards.
Following company health and safety procedures at all times.

What Were Looking For
Forklift Truck Licence (preferred).
Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
Good organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
Reliable, proactive approach with good time management skills.
