Your new company
A leading insurance group is seeking an experienced Director - Group Finance to oversee group-level financial reporting, consolidation, IFRS 17 delivery, audit management, and to play a key role in supporting M&A activity. This is a high-impact leadership role within a dynamic and growing organisation, offering significant exposure to senior executives and strategic decision-making.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Overseeing preparation of consolidated financial statements under IFRS, including technical accounting guidance and high-quality disclosures.
- Owning IFRS 17 reporting, working closely with actuarial, FP&A, and business units to validate assumptions, outputs, and controls.
- External audit, managing timelines, deliverables, and strengthening the financial control environment.
- Supporting M&A transactions.
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Significant experience in insurance within a group environment.
- Deep technical knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 17.
- Strong leadership capability and experience managing group reporting or consolidation processes.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and collaborate across functions.
- A proactive, analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a drive for continuous improvement.
