Syndicate Oversight Manager - Credit & Political Risk

Edenbrook are working with a Leading Insurance Turnkey seeking a Syndicate Manager to oversee the Strategic Performance of new syndicates entering the Lloyd's Market. This role is supporting the Active Underwriters of 4 newly created syndicates with the creation of appetite and business planning.

The key aspects of this role is:

• Support the analysis and monitoring of underwriting portfolio performance across multiple classes of business helping the Active Underwriters creating apetite
• Advise Underwritng teams on appropriate methods of writing risk.
• Analyse key performance indicators including premium growth, loss ratios, combined ratios, rate change, exposure metrics, and profitability trends
• Assist in identifying portfolio performance issues, emerging risks, and opportunities for portfolio optimisatisation
• Support underwriting teams through the provision of data-driven insight and performance analysis
• Contribute to portfolio reviews, business planning exercises, and capacity allocation discussions
• Assist in monitoring delegated authority and MGA performance planning
• Work closely with underwriting, actuarial, finance, claims, exposure management, and operations teams to ensure consistency of portfolio reporting and performance assessment

The key requirements of this role is:

• A traditional underwriting background of 5+ years, preferably withing Political Risk & Credit.
• Experience with the creation of risk apetite and broker relationships.
• Experience in managing senior stakeholders and underwriters.
