PQ Accountant

Date: 27 Nov 2025Sector: FINANCE / ACCOUNTINGType: PermanentLocation: LondonSalary: 45000 - 50000 per annumEmail: : db Our client is a Global Financial Markets Trading Company, they are looking for a PQ Accountant with 3 years Accounting experience to join the Finance Team. It would be preferable to have corporate accounts exp but is not essential.The role is exceptionally varied, with day-to-day accounting activities.Responsibilities:Support month-end and year-end closing activitiesAssist with cost analysis and respond to queriesPrepare and submit statutory returns (e.g., statistical reports) as requiredAct as the banking and system liaison, managing day-to-day matters with external partnersAccounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations.Accurately process and maintain ledger entries in SAP Business ByDesign and other accounting systemsTake ownership of assigned tasks and work proactively to resolve issuesProvide general assistance across the Finance team as needed e.g. preparation and submission of tax returns and compliance requirementsSupport new business projects and initiatives from a finance perspectiveContribute to process improvement projects and system enhancementsParticipate in resolving complex accounting challenges and ad-hoc queriesThe ideal candidate should be proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented, taking full ownership of responsibilities, eager to build expertise, and able to manage tasks independently. You’ll be expected to ask questions when needed but also build confidence in handling tasks in a structured and independent way, showing initiative as you grow into the role. Over time, we hope you’ll become a trusted point of contact for these processes, with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in economics/business/finance/accounting or related field.Part qualified from a recognized accountancy qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA)Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and dependable approach to workAbility to take initiative and build confidence in managing tasks independentlyFamiliarity with SAP Business ByDesign, SAP Concur or similar ERP systems (preferred)Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
