Astute's Power Team is partnering with a leading energy generation company with a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement, to recruit a Quality Assurance Project Engineer for its sites in Kent and Wales.
The strategically important Quality Assurance Project Engineer role comes with a competitive day rate and is offered on a contract basis.

Responsibilities and duties of the Quality Assurance Project Engineer role
Reporting to the Asset Support Team Leader you will:
Act as the lead QA representative across projects, outages, and maintenance activities
Ensure delivery against KPIs including safety, time, cost, quality, and compliance
Implement and improve QA/QC processes, including auditing work control systems
Support projects in collaboration with plant teams, OEMs, and contractors
Apply quality and lean methodologies such as APQP, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
Ensure projects meet required quality standards, reducing rework and non-conformance
Define QA requirements and support procurement and tendering activities
Manage and resolve Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis and reporting
Ensure compliance with HSSEQ standards and CDM regulationsProfessional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
HNC, engineering degree, or recognised engineering craft qualification, or relevant QA/Project Management qualification
Experience working within ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
Proven experience implementing QA/QC processes
Experience within power generation, heavy industry, or process environments
Understanding of project delivery and project management methodologies
Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standardsPersonal skills
