About the role

We are looking for a Service Engineer to work on a permanent basis in Cheshire.

Salary is c£45-48,000 per annum plus company van, 23 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension, company bonus etc.
The role is UK Wide and there may be some overnight stays required.
Service Engineer job details: To provide field-based equipment support, including installation, training, and routine preventative and corrective maintenance across the companys range of machinery and systems. Activities must deliver a high-quality service in line with company standards, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES for the Service Engineer: Respond promptly and effectively to requests from the Service Desk to attend customer sites.
Install and carry out routine preventative and corrective maintenance on company equipment to the required standard, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Support customer training activities as required.
Provide technical telephone support to customers and internal staff.
Assist customers and colleagues in resolving issues, offering practical and appropriate solutions.
Communicate professionally, competently, and courteously with customers, suppliers, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
Maintain personal technical skills and knowledge in line with company standards.
Represent the company in a professional and efficient manner, adhering to company policies on conduct, appearance, and use of transport.
Comply with customer site rules, including hygiene, health, and safety regulations where applicable.
Ensure all service and fault-finding activities are carried out with minimal disruption to customer operations.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring readiness for all assignments.
Resolve issues efficiently, liaising with customers as required and reporting findings to the Service Team Leader.
Manage appropriate levels of spare parts, maintaining accurate records of stock usage and availability.
Follow escalation procedures where necessary.
Submit clear and accurate service reports for every visit, including time and mileage, within 3 working days.
Ensure expenses are processed correctly using the company credit card, with accurate claims and supporting receipts submitted promptly.
Complete and submit timesheets accurately and in a timely manner, including weekday and weekend work.
Identify operational or service issues and report them to the Service Team Leader for review.
Provide technical support to assembly and production teams when required, including testing, inspection, and evaluation of equipment.
Support the training and development of assembly team members.
Actively pursue ongoing personal and professional development relevant to the role.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES for the Service Engineer Adhere to all health and safety policies and carry out duties in a safe and responsible manner.
Build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
Contribute positively to team performance, morale, and company culture.
Take ownership of work quality and aim to achieve right-first-time outcomes. xwzovoh
