Damp & Mould Surveyor

We are working with a public‑sector organisation to recruit an experienced Damp & Mould Surveyor to support delivery of inspections and remedial programmes across occupied housing stock. This is an initial 3‑month contract, suited to surveyors with proven public‑sector experience and a solid understanding of Awaab’s Law and HHSRS. The Role You will be responsible for undertaking damp, mould and condensation inspections, identifying root causes and ensuring appropriate remedial action is specified and progressed. Key responsibilities include: * Carrying out damp & mould inspections in occupied properties * Diagnosing causes and preparing clear specifications and reports * Making recommendations in line with Awaab’s Law and council policy * Identifying HHSRS Category 1 & 2 hazards and raising remedial actions * Liaising with tenants, contractors and internal teams * Carrying out post‑inspection checks to ensure works are completed to standard * Updating housing management and asset systems accurately
