Machine Operative – Steel Mill   Location: Dudley Salary: £12.71 – £13.50 per hour Shifts: Rotating shifts – 6:00am–2:00pm | 2:00pm–10:00pm Job Type: Permanent | Full-TimeThe Opportunity Our client, a long-established and highly respected manufacturer, is looking for a Machine Operative to join their modern steel processing facility in Dudley. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a permanent role within a stable and growing business, offering structured training and long-term career progression.Key Responsibilities

• • Operate machinery to process large steel plates in a high-spec production environment

• • Load steel using overhead cranes

• • Follow detailed work instructions and accurately complete production records

• • Use automated controls and basic computer systems

• • Carry out visual quality inspections on finished products

• • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety procedures

Candidate Requirements

• • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (steel stockholding preferred)

• • Comfortable working rotating shifts and overtime when required

• • Ability to work independently and follow structured processes

• • Strong attention to detail with basic IT skills

Desirable (training provided if needed):

• • Forklift Counterbalance Licence

• • Overhead crane experience
