Assistant Transport Manager Northampton Mon–Fri (Days) | Flexibility Required £38,000 + benefits Looking for your next step in transport leadership? We’re partnering with a leading 3PL business to appoint an Assistant Transport Manager to support a fast-paced, high-volume operation within a leading 3PL business. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead from the front, manage day-to-day performance, and work closely with both drivers, customers and other key stakeholders to deliver outstanding service. What you’ll do: * Support the daily running of a busy, time-critical transport operation * Drive performance against KPIs, service, and cost targets * Lead, motivate, and develop a team of drivers * Ensure full compliance with transport and safety regulations * Adapt plans quickly in a dynamic, ever-changing environment * Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams What we’re looking for: * Experience in transport/logistics (ideally 3PL or customer-facing environment) * Confidence managing people and dealing directly with customers * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure * A proactive, hands-on leadership style * Ideally - CPC qualified (or willing to work towards it) Why join? * Be part of an award-winning, people-focused logistics business * Real autonomy with strong support from leadership Note: This is a days-based role, but flexibility is essential to support a 24/5 operation.
