Our Client is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Site Manager to join our growing construction team. Reporting to the Development Site Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with the wider development team, you will assist in coordinating labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, and site activities while helping to maintain programme targets and exceptional customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities
Support the Site Manager in the daily management and coordination of site operations.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining project programmes and site progress.
Help manage site resources including labour, subcontractors, plant, and materials.
* Promote and maintain high standards of health and safety across the site.
* Carry out regular site inspections and take immediate corrective action where required.
* Ensure all works are completed in line with company standards, NHBC requirements, and build quality expectations.
* Provide clear direction and support to subcontractors and site operatives.
* Encourage a proactive safety culture where risks are identified and addressed early.
* Support the resolution of customer service and site-related issues promptly and professionally.
* Attend and help lead trade meetings, project meetings, and site sales meetings.
* Assist with monitoring site costs and identifying opportunities for efficiencies and savings.
* Maintain strong communication with internal departments and external stakeholders throughout the build process.
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role within the housebuilding industry.
* Experience delivering high-volume residential developments to a 5-star quality standard.
* Good understanding of construction processes and site operations.
* Experience working to NHBC standards.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to motivate teams and build positive working relationships.
* Confident explaining technical information to a range of stakeholders.
* Computer literate with good working knowledge of site management systems.
Essential Qualifications
* Valid CITB SMSTS certification.
* Valid First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate.
* Appropriate CSCS Card.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* Basic Scaffold Theory and Inspection or CISRS Inspector qualification.
* Site Environmental Management qualification (CITB SEATS or IEMA).
* CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC).
* Additional health and safety or construction-related training.
* Scaffold Awareness, Traffic Management, and Lifting Operations experience.
