Year 4 Teacher Ruislip, Hillingdon, West London Full-Time | September 2026 Start | 1-Year Contract A welcoming and well-regarded 2-form entry primary school in Ruislip is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher from September 2026 on a full-time basis for the academic year. The school is looking for a practitioner who can bring consistency, energy, and strong classroom practice to Lower Key Stage 2. This role would suit a teacher who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences while maintaining high expectations for both progress and behaviour. The Role The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 4 class and work collaboratively with the parallel class teacher and Key Stage 2 team. Responsibilities include: Planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum Supporting pupils of varying abilities to achieve their full potential Maintaining a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Assessing, tracking, and reporting on pupil progress effectively Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues Contributing to the wider life and ethos of the school The school is looking for someone who combines strong behaviour management with a nurturing and reflective teaching style. The Ideal Candidate The school would welcome applications from teachers who: Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2 (ideally Year 4 or similar) Are confident delivering engaging and well-structured lessons Have high expectations for pupil behaviour and achievement Work effectively as part of a collaborative team Are committed to supporting both academic progress and personal development This position would suit either a strong Early Career Teacher (ECT) with excellent placement experience or a more experienced teacher seeking a supportive and stable school environment.
