Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer – Contract Location: Morpeth (HMP Northumberland) Rate: £400–£450 per day (Inside IR35) Duration: May 2026 – December 2026 I am currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer in Morpeth Northumberland Must have CSCS Black or Gold & SSMTS or SSSTS also require Basic DBS & BPSS.

Key Responsibilities Safe management and control of the services installation under your responsibility Management of design information and change control, Co-ordination of the installation and associated supply chain recourse Ensuring works are delivered in line with programme and sequencing requirements Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and site operational constraints What you will bring Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering and have a sound knowledge and understanding of MEP systems.

Ideally, you will have experience working with a leading national or regional contractor across custodial, healthcare, education or science projects. xwzovoh

Demonstrate experience in people management, Programme and Sequence management, and in safe control of mechanical systems You should also be able to demonstrate a high level of competence in digital construction methods BIM & Field tools, commercial awareness and risk management Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability Role Includes: • Daily site safety briefings, • Daily reporting, • Site safety compliance, • QA checks, • Record keeping • Weekly progress reporting, • 6-week look-aheads, • Supporting wider team.
