Company Solicitor (Commercial)

Venn Group's specialist legal team is recruiting for a Company Solicitor (Commercial) to join a well-regarded Housing Association in the North East on a 6-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative legal team, offering hybrid working and exposure to a varied and interesting commercial caseload.

Position: Company Solicitor (Commercial)

Working Pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week

Working Arrangement: Hybrid working, 3 days per week on-site

Salary: Circa £60,000 per annum, pro rata

Duration: 6-month FTC, potential to extend

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the organisation's Company Solicitor, with a particular focus on commercial law
• Manage a broad range of commercial contracts, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements
• Provide legal advice on public procurement matters and commercial transactions
• Support the Senior Solicitor on a range of commercial and development law matters

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Lawyer in England and Wales
• Strong knowledge of commercial contracts and public procurement
• Previous experience working within a Housing Association would be advantageous, although this is not essential
