Salary: £28,080 per annum
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Chef to join a friendly and professional care home in Welwyn Garden City (AL7) .
This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who is passionate about providing nutritious, home-cooked meals and understands the important role food plays in residents' health, wellbeing and quality of life.
Main Responsibilities Preparing and cooking high-quality meals for residents

Catering for a range of dietary, nutritional and cultural requirements

Ensuring all meals are presented to a high standard

Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards

Managing stock rotation and assisting with ordering supplies

Completing food safety and compliance records

Working closely with care staff to meet residents' individual needs

Ensuring all Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and COSHH procedures are followed

Essential Requirements Previous experience working as a Chef or Cook within a care home environment

Good understanding of specialist diets and nutritional requirements for older people

Food Hygiene qualification (or willingness to update)

Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance procedures

Ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen

Reliable, organised and professional approach to work

Personal Qualities Caring and compassionate attitude

Passion for producing fresh, nutritious meals

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to build positive relationships with residents and colleagues

Flexible and dependable approach
