Store Manager - Superstore (Temporary Ongoing) Location: Darlington Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour (paid weekly every Friday) Hours: Flexible shifts covering store opening and closing times Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7, including weekends Contract: Temporary Ongoing About the Role We are seeking an experienced, confident, and reliable Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy superstore in Darlington. This is a temporary ongoing position offering regular work on a rota basis of 5 days out of 7, including weekend shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the store team, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining operational standards, and taking full responsibility for opening and closing the store. Key Responsibilities Managing the day-to-day running of the store and supporting the retail team Opening and closing the store, ensuring all security procedures are followed Holding keyholder responsibilities, including locking and securing the premises Leading, motivating, and supporting team members throughout each shift Delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer queries efficiently Operating the till and overseeing cash handling procedures Managing stock replenishment, stock control, and merchandising standards Ensuring all products are accurately priced and displayed Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety, and store presentation Monitoring store performance and ensuring company procedures are followed Delegating tasks and supporting staff development where required Requirements Previous retail management, supervisory, or keyholder experience is essential Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent customer service and communication abilities Experience with cash handling and till management Reliable, trustworthy, and confident working independently Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Flexible approach to working 5 days out of 7, including weekends Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment Working Hours 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis Weekend working required Shifts will cover store opening and closing responsibilities Temporary ongoing role with regular hours available What We Offer £12.71 per hour, paid weekly every Friday Consistent temporary ongoing work Opportunity to gain valuable retail management experience Friendly and supportive team environment Immediate start available How to Apply To apply, please call the Darlington branch on (phone number removed) or click Apply Now.
