About the role
Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Assembly Fitter to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business based in Milton Keynes.
Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Assembly Fitter to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the site's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.
Role: Assembly Fitter
Pay: £15 - £16 per hour PAYE
Address: Milton Keynes
Assembly Fitter Overview:
To assemble components and products to specification, that meet quality standards and delivery schedules, while driving process efficiency, maintaining safe working practices, and supporting continuous improvement across the assembly function.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembler:
Assemblies consistently meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards first time
Minimal defects, rework, or returns due to assembly errors
Correct use of tools, torque settings, and assembly methods
Inspection checks are completed accurately at each stage using appropriate measuring and testing equipment
Components are assembled correctly using the right tools, fixtures, and methods every time
Tools and equipment are used safely and maintained in good working condition
Assembly instructions, drawings, BOOs and BOMs are followed accurately
Any issues with parts, fit, or process are identified early and escalated
