Temporary Housing Officer Hybrid Working 💷 Negotiable Rate 📅 3-Month Contract (Potential Extension) We are currently recruiting for an experienced Housing Officer to join a well-established housing provider based in Derbyshire on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and customer-focused Housing Officer looking for a hybrid role with a supportive team environment and the chance to make an immediate impact within social housing services. The Role As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service across a designated patch of properties. You will work closely with tenants, internal teams, and external agencies to ensure communities are safe, well-managed, and residents are fully supported. Key Responsibilities * Managing a caseload of tenancy and neighbourhood management issues * Conducting tenancy audits, estate inspections, and property visits * Handling anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases and neighbour disputes * Supporting tenancy sustainment and vulnerable tenants * Managing low-level rent arrears and tenancy breaches * Working closely with safeguarding, repairs, and income teams * Delivering excellent customer service and housing advice * Ensuring accurate case management and record keeping Requirements * Previous experience working as a Housing Officer, Tenancy Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, or similar within social housing, local authority, or housing association settings * Strong knowledge of housing management and tenancy legislation * Experience managing ASB and tenancy-related casework * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to manage a busy and varied workload independently * Full UK driving licence preferred What’s on Offer * Hybrid working – 3 days office based * Competitive negotiable rate * Immediate start available * Opportunity to work with an established housing provider * Potential contract extension opportunities If you are an experienced Housing Officer available for your next interim contract, we would love to hear from you.
