I am working with a leading independent commercial law firm with a strong reputation for its commercial approach and people-focused culture, to recruit a Senior Associate – Private Equity to join its growing Manchester team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced corporate lawyer to take a leading role in complex private equity transactions, work closely with clients and partners, and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Leading and advising private equity investors, businesses taking private equity or venture capital investment, and management teams on a broad range of transactions.
• Managing acquisitions, disposals, investments and M&A transactions, from initial structuring through to completion.
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating SPAs, shareholders’ agreements, investment agreements and associated transaction documentation.
• Working closely with partners and clients to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused advice, while supporting junior lawyers and contributing to the continued growth of the corporate practice.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor (5+ PQE) with strong corporate and private equity experience.
• Proven experience managing transactions and advising clients independently.
• Excellent technical, drafting and negotiation skills.
• Commercially minded, confident and collaborative, with strong client relationship skills.
