About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in the Nottinghamshire area. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months experience of providing essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills both written and verbal as well as the ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Position: Night & Day Shifts Healthcare Worker
Pay rate: £12.71 P/H (including holiday pay)
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
* Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
* Communicate effectively with residents', families, and healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate records of patient progress and any changes in condition.
* Help with administrative tasks, including updating patient information using IT systems.
* Foster a warm and supportive environment that promotes the dignity and independence of each resident.
Experience
* At least 1 years previous experience in a care home setting.
* Strong communication skills both written and spoken in English.
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is essential.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise and build rapport with residents and colleagues.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation is preferred.
