LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO ITWe’re looking for an Enthusiastic and motivated Programme Planner to join our Strategic Delivery Office (SDO).As a trusted planning professional, you’ll sit at the heart of programme delivery — working collaboratively with Delivery, Design, Commercial teams, and our supply chain partners. Your insight, analysis and foresight will directly influence decision‑making, helping leaders understand schedule risk and performance, which will help to successfully deliver complex capital programmes.This is a role for someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity, has confidence in their planning expertise, and wants their work to genuinely influence outcomes.Location: Raynesway (Derby), Shelton (Shrewsbury) hybrid working 3 days in Office and 2days WFH)Travel: Occasional site visits across the Midlands (full UK driving licence required)What You’ll Be Responsible ForDeveloping, managing and reporting robust, integrated project and programme schedulesEmbedding and championing SDO planning policies, standards and best practiceProactively identifying, analysing and escalating Schedule risks, performance variances and change impactsMonitor and audit supplier schedules for compliance with Severn Trent procedures, collaborating with suppliers to maintain and promote schedule quality Work closely with delivery, commercial, and design teams throughout the full project lifecycle to ensure alignment, effective coordination, and successful outcomes.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORProven experience planning projects or programmes in a complex delivery environmentStrong working knowledge of Primavera P6 / Oracle Primavera Cloud and Microsoft Project Confidence using Microsoft Office tools to communicate clearly and professionallyAwareness of NEC clauses relevant to schedule submissions, including Compensation EventsExceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with a diverse range of peopleA proactive, forward‑thinking mindset with the confidence to make sound judgements in uncertain situationsConfidence in translating technical planning information into clear, meaningful insights for non‑planning stakeholders at all levelA genuine passion for planning as a discipline and for continuous improvementHold a full U.K driving licenceSkills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too.
