Import/Export Sales Executive

Our client is a growing logistics business looking to recruit an Inside Sales Executive to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a couple of years’ experience within the shipping, freight forwarding or logistics industry who is looking to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will already have a good understanding of the industry and be comfortable dealing with customers, suppliers and overseas agents. You will be commercially minded, organised and confident managing sales opportunities within a busy environment. The Role As an Inside Sales Executive, your responsibilities will include: * Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective customers * Preparing and sending quotations * Following up quotations and sales opportunities * Identifying new business opportunities within the logistics and shipping sector * Liaising with customers, suppliers and overseas agents * Managing customer enquiries and providing accurate information * Using internal operating and quotation systems * Supporting the wider sales team with day-to-day activities * Maintaining accurate customer and sales records * Building on your existing knowledge of the shipping and logistics industry About You We're looking for someone who: * Has 2+ years’ experience within the shipping, freight forwarding or logistics industry * Has a good understanding of the logistics/shipping process * Has previous experience working with quotations and sales opportunities * Is confident communicating with customers, suppliers and overseas agents * Has strong written and verbal communication skills * Has a professional and confident telephone manner * Is comfortable using Microsoft Outlook and Excel * Is organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks * Has good attention to detail * Is commercially aware and confident following up opportunities * Is looking to build a long-term career within the logistics industry What's on Offer? * Opportunity to develop your career within a growing logistics business * Ongoing training and development * Genuine career progression opportunities * Friendly and supportive working environment * Free on-site parking * Easily accessible location via public transport * Regular social events and industry networking opportunities Please note this is a full-time, office-based position.
