Overview

Optometrist role at TieTalent, working with Zest Optical in Dunfermline, Fife. Full-time position 4 or 5 days per week. Core hours: 9:00am–5:00pm. Modern equipment including OCT, phoropter and retinal imaging. Paperless records using Optisoft. Pre-screening carried out by the support team. Contact lens work included. Dispensing support from an experienced and friendly team. Free parking available nearby.

Responsibilities

• Carry out optometry examinations with 30–40 minute appointments in a single testing room.
• Utilise modern equipment (OCT, phoropter, retinal imaging) to support patient assessments.
• Coordinate with the support team for pre-screening and any required pre-appointment work.
• Provide contact lens services and contribute to dispensing support within the team.
• Maintain paperless records using Optisoft and ensure high-quality, patient-focused service.

Requirements

• GOC-registered Optometrist.
• Comfortable working in a patient-focused environment with strong communication skills.
• Warm, approachable manner and ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to the wider success of the practice.

Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary between £45,000 and £55,000 (depending on experience).
