HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic – Fleet Workshop

Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent

£18.00+ per hour | £27.00 overtime | Permanent

We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join our in-house workshop in Knypersley, Stoke-on-Trent, maintaining a 30 -vehicle mixed fleet of Class 1, Class 2, 7.5t and vans.

This is a workshop-based fleet role, working alongside one other experienced technician, with planned maintenance, realistic job times and proper support.

Pay & Hours:

Negotiable - £18.00+ per hour depending on experience

40 hours per week

Overtime paid at £27.00 per hour

Day / noon shifts: 8am–5pm or 12pm–9pm

Every other Saturday (paid at overtime rate)

The role:

* Servicing, maintenance and repair of Class 1 & Class 2 vehicles * 6-weekly inspections * MOT preparation and presentation * Fault diagnosis and rectification using manufacturer diagnostics * Completion of job cards and service paperwork * Liaising with colleagues and suppliers * Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as an HGV Technician / Mechanic

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

Experience with heavy vehicle maintenance essential

HGV licence advantageous but not essential

Full UK driving licence

Reliable, professional approach
