Tendering Engineer / Estimator - HV Power & BESS Projects - Outside IR35 Contract 📍 Remote Working 💰 Outside IR35 📅 Initial 3 Months (Likely Extension) ⚡ BESS | Substations | Grid Connections | Solar | 33kV–132kV An established power infrastructure contractor is looking to engage an experienced Tendering Engineer / Estimator to support a growing pipeline of major energy projects. With a number of significant tenders requiring submission over the coming months, the business is seeking additional resource to support the delivery of bids across Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), substations, grid connections and renewable energy infrastructure projects. This is a fully remote contract opportunity with flexibility to work 3, 4 or 5 days per week. The Role You will support the preparation and submission of tenders for major power infrastructure projects, working closely with engineering, commercial and delivery teams. Responsibilities will include: * Reviewing and analysing tender documentation * Producing cost estimates for electrical and civils packages * Supporting bids for 33kV, 66kV and 132kV projects * Coordinating technical and commercial inputs * Identifying project risks and opportunities * Supporting tender submissions within NEC contract environments * Liaising with design, engineering and operational teams Project Types Projects range from £2m to £40m in value and include: * Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) * HV Substations * Grid Connections * Solar Infrastructure * Private Network Projects * Design & Build Power Infrastructure Schemes What We're Looking For Applications are welcomed from individuals with experience as: * Tendering Engineer * Bid Engineer * Estimator * HV Estimator * Power Estimator * Pre-Construction Engineer You'll ideally have experience working within: * HV Power Infrastructure * Utilities * DNO / ICP Environments * Grid Connections * Substation Projects Whilst BESS experience would be advantageous, strong experience pricing HV infrastructure, substations, grid connections or associated civils packages is equally of interest.
