About the role
Head of Recruitment
More Driver Solutions Ltd is looking for a Head of Recruitment to lead and manage our recruitment function, ensuring recruitment activity converts into actual driver availability, placements and new starters.
This role is not simply about generating applications or registrations. The focus is on controlling recruitment data, measuring conversion, managing the recruitment team effectively, and ensuring we are using all available databases, systems and candidate pools properly to bring suitable drivers through the process.
The Head of Recruitment will work closely with the Recruitment Manager, Planning Manager and Sales teams to understand live client demand, upcoming requirements, priority roles, and any areas where driver supply is not meeting operational needs.
A key part of the role will be making sure every suitable driver is fully explored, contacted and offered appropriate work opportunities before they are removed, disqualified or deemed unsuitable.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Data and Measurables
You will be responsible for managing and controlling recruitment data across all platforms and databases, including recruitment budgets and advertising spend.
The purpose of this is to ensure recruitment activity is measurable, and that high activity is converting into actual operational delivery and new starters.
Database Management
You will ensure the recruitment team are effectively using all available databases, systems and candidate pools to source suitable drivers.
Recruitment Team Management
You will manage the recruitment team of five on a day-to-day basis, working closely with the Recruitment Manager to ensure the team are clear on priorities, expectations and required outputs.
This role requires strong leadership, organisation, accountability and follow-through.
Working with Sales and Planning
You will work closely with the Recruitment Manager, Planning Manager and Sales teams to ensure recruitment activity is aligned with actual business demand.
The role is about bridging the gap between recruitment activity and operational delivery, ensuring we are pulling enough suitable drivers through to meet client requirements.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the recruitment function, control the data, manage the team, challenge gaps in performance, and make sure recruitment activity is producing real results.
The successful candidate will need to be organised, commercially aware, confident managing people, and able to work closely with multiple departments to ensure the business has the driver supply it needs
