Pay: £15.16 (Cook)-£19.21 (Chef) per hour
Expected Hours: 14per week ( Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm)
Location: East Grinstead

We are recruiting on behalf of Housing Association who provides, high-quality housing, care and support for the Elderly, with a strong reputation for delivering safe, comfortable and supportive homes. The catering team are responsible for delivering prepared meals in line with Hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
Excellent culinary skills with the ability to prepare a wide range of dishes.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
A passion for cooking and creating innovative meal options for customers.
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, or willingness to do this
Employment vetting, including references and full work history
Food Safety Level 2 or 3, with a willingness to be further trained
Professional and the ability to work with various backgrounds and cultures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the development of new menu items, ensuring creativity and seasonal relevance.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency across all dishes.

Ideal Candidate:
At least 1 years experience as a Cook or Chef
