Data Governance Lead Contract Length: 4 months | Remote (UK-Based) - **occasional travel may be required Inside IR35: Up to £600 per day We're looking for an experienced Data Governance Lead to help drive and embed data governance best practices across a large organisation's Data & Analytics function. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, policies, and standards. Drive improvements in data quality, integrity, security, and lifecycle management. Partner with Data Owners, Data Stewards, Information Security, and wider business teams. Develop governance metrics and reporting for senior stakeholders. Conduct data profiling and data quality analysis within SQL databases. Promote a strong data governance culture across the organisation.Essential Skills Proven experience leading Data Governance initiatives. Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, data quality, and data stewardship. Experience with data governance tools and platforms. SQL data profiling and data quality analysis experience (Databricks preferred). Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience working with regulatory and data protection requirements.Desirable Microsoft Purview Data Architecture Data Modelling Public Sector or Financial Services experience
