Are you an experienced Lettings Negotiator looking for your next opportunity in Leeds?
CLD Recruitment are currently recruiting for a successful and established property business based in Leeds city centre. We are looking for a confident, target-driven Lettings Negotiator who can deliver an excellent level of customer service while maximising opportunities to generate new business and complete lets.
With a £28,000 basic salary plus a bonus of up to £1,000 per month, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who is commercially driven and wants to be rewarded for their performance.
The Role As a Lettings Negotiator, you will be responsible for managing applicants and properties through the lettings process, from initial registration and viewings through to negotiation and completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
Registering applicants and matching them to suitable properties
Arranging and conducting property viewings
Negotiating offers between landlords and prospective tenants
Progressing lets through to completion
Maintaining regular contact with prospective tenants
Providing landlords with feedback on marketing, viewings and hot prospects
Generating new and repeat business opportunities
Assisting with market appraisals and working towards conducting these independently
Maximising opportunities for new instructions, viewings and lets
Carrying out canvassing and local business development activity
Signing up tenants and progressing applications
Ensuring all tenancy documentation and referencing is completed accurately
Progressing tenancy deposits and payments
Maintaining accurate records, systems and property portals
Building excellent relationships with landlords and tenants
Working towards agreed individual and branch targets
Ensuring all activity complies with relevant lettings legislation and company procedures
About You We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded individual with previous experience within lettings or estate agency.
You will ideally have:
Previous lettings or estate agency experience
A full driving licence and access to your own car – essential
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
A strong customer service ethos
A proven ability to work towards and achieve targets
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
A proactive approach to generating new business
The confidence to deal with landlords, tenants and applicants
A professional and personable manner
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A good understanding of lettings legislation, or the desire to develop this knowledge
