Reed Education are seeking an experienced Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join a supportive mainstream primary school in Scunthorpe from September 2026.
The school is looking for a confident and compassionate individual who has experience supporting children with behavioural needs, including those who are vulnerable, looked after, or have experienced trauma. You will play a key role in helping children feel safe, supported and ready to engage with learning.
The Role- Provide one-to-one and small group behavioural support.
- Build positive relationships that encourage trust and engagement.
- Support children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Use effective behaviour management techniques to promote positive outcomes.
- Assist pupils in developing emotional regulation and coping strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and safeguarding professionals.
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Previous experience working with vulnerable children, looked after children, or children affected by trauma.
