CAD Technician

CAD Technician Greater Manchester £43,000 per annum 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday Permanent Employment Solutions is recruiting an experienced CAD Technician for a growing UK engineering and structural steel business based in Manchester. This is a new position within the Design/Engineering team, working alongside an existing CAD Technician and closely with Engineers, Project Managers and Production. The Role You will produce accurate engineering drawings, models and technical documentation supporting the manufacture and delivery of bridge and structural steel projects. Key responsibilities include: Produce and amend engineering drawings and CAD models Prepare fabrication details, schedules and technical information Work closely with Engineering, Projects and Production Maintain drawing revisions and document control Resolve drawing discrepancies and technical queries Support design reviews and value engineering Ensure drawings meet project, client and company requirements Contribute to improving CAD standards and engineering processesAbout You We are particularly interested in candidates with: Previous CAD Technician experience within structural steel, bridge engineering, fabrication or a related engineering environment Strong AutoCAD capability Experience producing drawings for manufacture and construction Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical information Good understanding of fabrication processes Excellent technical accuracy and attention to detail Strong communication and organisational skillsDesirable HNC/HND in Engineering, CAD or a related discipline Experience using Tekla Structures or other 3D CAD/modelling software Relevant CAD qualifications or professional certificationWhat's on Offer? £43,000 per annum Permanent position 37.5-hour working week Opportunity to join a growing Design/Engineering team Work on structural steel and bridge engineering projects Long-term career development within an expanding engineering businessApply Today If you're an experienced CAD Technician, Structural CAD Technician, Engineering Draughtsperson or Structural Steel Detailer looking for your next opportunity, we'd like to hear from you.
