The Opportunity

As an experiencedScrum Masterwithin aSAFeenvironment,youllplay a vital role in helping product teams deliver valueconsistently and predictably.

Werestill maturing in our Agile journey, and this role is critical in taking us to the next level.Youllgo beyondfacilitatingceremonies, youllactively coach teams and stakeholders to improve how we plan,prioritiseand deliver, ensuring a strong focus on outcomes over activity.

Youllchampion Scrum in a pragmatic waybut always grounded in the Scrum Guide, helping teams apply it effectively in real-world situations.Youllalso work beyond the team level,identifyingand addressing systemic impediments that impact delivery across the organisation.

Thisis a predominantlyhomebasedrole.However, it is essential that you can occasionallytravel to EDF locations such as #Doxford, #Hove and #Exeter.

Who You Are

Werelooking for a confident, experienced Scrum Master who combines strongpractical and theoreticalAgileexpertisewith a pragmatic, outcome-driven mindset.To be shortlisted, you need to offer:

• Certified Scrum Master (e.g. CSM or PSM),ideallywith aSAFecertification

• Proven experience coaching Scrum teams to improve delivery outcomes

• Confident andproactiveapproachyourecomfortable challenging teams, Product Owners and stakeholders, and youdontavoid difficult conversations whentheyreneeded

• Strong experienceidentifyingand resolving impediments, including those that sit outside the team

• The ability to balance team wellbeing with accountability for delivering value

• Experience in supporting all Scrum team roles with a wealth of practical and theoretical knowledge, e.g. user story writing,prioritisation, developmentbottlenecksoraddressing risks and dependencies

• Deep theoretical and practical understanding of Scrum andSAFein complex environments

• Strong facilitation and coaching skills across teams,stakeholdersand leadership

• Excellentcommunication skills withproven ability to influence at all levelsof the organisation

WhatYoullBe Doing

• Coach teams to deliver high-quality, incremental value with a clear focus on outcomes, KPIs and OKRs

• Challenge teams and stakeholders to continuously improve how they work and what they deliver

• Identify, own and drive resolution of impedimentsat team and organisational level

• Partner with Product Owners to strengthen backlog quality,prioritisationand value delivery

• Hold teams accountable to agreed ways of working while fostering a culture of continuous improvement

• Facilitate effective Scrum events that drive clarity,alignmentand progressnot just routine

• Contribute to improving Agile maturity across the wider organisation
