Maintenance Manager Job Title: Maintenance Manager Location: Preston, Lancashire  Salary: £60,000 Shift: Days (Mon-Fri) Sector: High-Volume Manufacturing / FMCG Environment Job Role of the Maintenance Manager A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed has come to the forefront for a strong Maintenance Manager to join a well-established, fast-paced high-volume manufacturing site. This is an ideal role for a proven engineering leader who enjoys developing people, driving standards, and improving site reliability. As the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Maintenance Engineering function, focusing on equipment availability, reliability, and continuous improvement, ensuring maintenance activity is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Non-Negotiable Requirements Proven man-management / leadership experience within engineering/maintenance Strong understanding of engineering maintenance, breakdown management and preventative maintenance best practice Electrical understanding (the team has a strong mechanical bias, so you must be able to support the electrical side) Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Requirements for the Maintenance Manager Leading day-to-day maintenance operations (reactive + planned) to minimise downtime Driving PPM completion, technician performance, and plant availability KPIs Coaching and developing engineers and team leaders to improve capability and standards Supporting and developing apprentices (up to four) with a strong mentoring approach Working cross-functionally with Operations, CI and H&S to deliver site objectives Ensuring compliance with statutory/legal requirements and maintaining audit-ready documentation Supporting improvement plans focused on waste reduction, efficiency, and performance The Maintenance Manager will benefit from: Employment with a stable and well-established organisation Strong benefits package including 8% pension, onsite parking and a staff canteen A role with real scope to influence site performance and drive engineering best practice Supportive leadership and clear development/progression opportunities If you are interested in this role and feel that you have the right skills, then please click apply at the bottom of this advert.
