About the role

A prominent UK Law firm is looking for Risk & Compliance Manager to their team in their London and Brighton offices. The role offers exposure to complex, high-profile matters, with the opportunity to work closely with the Head of the Risk & Compliance function within a highly regarded Risk & Compliance function. Key responsibilities will include: Providing day-to-day advice to partners and fee earners on regulatory, ethical and professional conduct matters. Advising on conflicts of interest, client engagement issues and wider risk management queries. Monitoring changes in legal and regulatory requirements and coordinating the implementation of new policies and procedures. Managing complaints and professional indemnity matters, including liaising with insurers and supporting investigations where required. Reviewing, developing and maintaining the firm's risk management policies, procedures and compliance framework. Supporting the firm's business continuity, information security and operational risk programmes. Supervising and mentoring junior members of the Risk & Compliance team. Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience in a Risk & Compliance role within a UK law firm. Strong knowledge of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations and wider legal regulatory requirements. Experience advising on professional conduct, conflicts of interest and regulatory risk. A solid understanding of legal risk management and compliance best practice.
