Head of Information Technology
About the role
Act as the main point of contact for Managing Partners, with the potential for some home technology assistance.
Serve as an escalation point for the managed service provider, as required.
Oversee the delivery of services for the main managed service provider, ensuring all contractual obligations, service delivery metrics, and project oversight.
Manage relationships with local providers for globally dispersed offices.
Share the day-to-day operational process of user administration tasks with the managed service provider.
Own the administration of select IT tools currently managed in-house and not by an external vendor.
IT Strategy and Governance
Accountable for the firm's overall security posture, including identity and access management, endpoint security, and data protection.
Reports to senior leadership with accountability for IT governance, risk, and regulatory compliance.
Build, maintain, and enforce the company’s IT policies and procedures.
Own the technology roadmap to ensure the company's technology strategy matches corporate requirements and cybersecurity risk.
Work with the various teams within the firm to understand their current processes, assist in maximising value from existing solutions, and help select new ones as requirements or new technologies change.
Infrastructure Best Practices
Together with service providers, manage and secure all cloud infrastructure, productivity platforms, and end-user computing across the firm and all locations.
Lead IT projects end-to-end, from business case through to delivery and adoption.
Own asset lifecycle from procurement to retirement, ensuring secure data best practises.
Manage security vendors for penetration testing, vulnerability, and other planned scans.
Work with the provider to ensure security awareness training is relevant, effective and maintained.
Desired Skills
Experience gained in a similar environment to the current head of IT or deputy. Asset Management or Private Equity experience is preferred.
Need to be able to comfortably move between IT strategy, administration, and support as required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft 365 admin centre, and be comfortable working and staying on top of the latest advancements within key areas: Intune, Entra ID, Defender, and Purview.
Keeps up with the latest technology trends, especially as they relate to Cybersecurity and AI.
A can-do attitude, with excellent attention to detail and planning skills.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Degree-level education
Salary of £90k - £100k per annum
Discretionary bonus scheme (30-40% target)
