About the role
A small, one-form entry primary school in Wigan is seeking to appoint a motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) to take responsibility for a Year 3 class. This is a long-term, full-time role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for a Year 3 class in line with the national curriculum
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
• Support pupils of varying abilities, including those with additional needs
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school development
The Ideal Candidate
• Holds (or is on track to achieve) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Is an Early Career Teacher looking to complete their induction
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of lower Key Stage 2 teaching and learning
• Is enthusiastic, reflective, and committed to ongoing professional development
Requirements
• References covering the last 5 years
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
