Hseq Manager - (M&E / Construction)

SHEQ Manager (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) Salary: Competitive Salary + Company Vehicle/Car Allowance + Benefits About the Role Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality functions across a diverse portfolio of M&E construction projects. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining SHEQ systems while ensuring compliance with UK legislation, ISO standards and client requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and project teams to drive a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across the business. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety * Lead the implementation and continual improvement of company H&S policies and procedures. * Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations. * Review and approve subcontractor RAMS. * Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements where required. * Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews. * Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, including RIDDOR reporting. * Deliver toolbox talks and promote a positive safety culture throughout the business. Quality Management * Manage and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. * Oversee quality assurance processes and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). * Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions. * Support project handovers, commissioning records and O&M documentation. Compliance & Auditing * Maintain certification and compliance standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. * Plan and lead internal and external audits. * Monitor legislative changes and implement updates where required. * Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practice. Requirements Essential * Previous experience in a SHEQ/HSEQ Manager role within Construction or M&E. * Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation. * Experience managing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems. * NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate. * Strong auditing, reporting and organisational skills. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable * NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. * Lead Auditor qualification. * Experience within residential, commercial or student accommodation projects. * Knowledge of BREEAM and sustainability frameworks
