Description
Duties of the Power BI Developer
Develop and optimise Power BI dashboards and reports to present key business metrics.
Collaborate with the analytics team to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all reporting outputs.
Integrate multiple data sources into cohesive reports and dashboards.
Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power BI functionalities.
Maintain and update existing reports to reflect changing business needs.
Identify and troubleshoot issues in data pipelines or reporting processes.
Stay updated on the latest Power BI features and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities.Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
Optimise data models and visualisations for performance and usability.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting thorough quality checks.
Integrate data from multiple sources to create comprehensive reports.
Support the analytics team with advanced data analysis tasks.
Provide training and guidance to team members on Power BI best practices.
Stay updated with the latest features and updates in Power BI to enhance reporting capabilities.
Profile
A successful Power BI Developer should have:
Proficiency in Power BI, including report creation, data modelling, and DAX scripting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data interpretation.
Experience working with large datasets and integrating data from multiple sources.
Knowledge of database management systems and SQL.
Understanding of key metrics and trends within the retail industry.
Effective communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
