Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Location: Hampshire, UK Shift: 4 On / 4 Off (Only-Days) | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Contract: 12 Months | Inside IR35 Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for your next contract opportunity within a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting production operations. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern manufacturing environment where you'll play a key role in improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment. Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime. Take ownership of production lines and equipment using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability. Support continuous improvement, process optimisation and cost-saving initiatives. Prioritise maintenance activities effectively within a busy production environment. Maintain high standards of health & safety and engineering best practice. Provide shift and absence cover when required. What We're Looking For Experience working within a high-volume manufacturing environment such as FMCG, food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics or similar industries. Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline. Strong multi-skilled maintenance experience across both mechanical and electrical systems. Experience using CMMS systems. Knowledge of HMI panels and electrical competencies would be advantageous. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working independently as well as within a collaborative engineering team. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Good understanding of: Machine controls Mechanical drives Electrical fault finding
