About the role

Corsham £600–£650 per day Umbrella 12-month contract + likely extension IR35: In Scope Active DV Clearance 3 days per week onsite The Opportunity We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect – Secure Communications to support a major UK Defence programme focused on secure military messaging, legacy modernisation and migration to IP-based networks. This is an exciting opportunity to work on secure communications architecture, interoperability and defence technology modernisation. Key Responsibilities * Own and assure HLDs, LLDs and target architectures. * Design migration from legacy serial communications to IP networks. * Develop secure, multi-domain messaging architectures. * Work with STANAG 4406, STANAG 5066, ACP127 and DOI 103(s). * Design solutions involving CDS, Guard gateways and PKI. * Support NATO, Allied and CCEB/Five-Eyes interoperability. * Provide technical assurance and independent architectural advice. * Engage with senior technical and defence stakeholders. Essential Experience * Active DV clearance. * Sole UK National. * Military communications / secure messaging architecture experience. * Strong IP networking and cryptography knowledge. * Experience migrating legacy communications to IP-based environments. * Knowledge of MOD, NATO and military messaging standards. * Strong HLD/LLD and architectural documentation experience. * Excellent stakeholder engagement and technical advisory skills. Desirable: Maritime/tactical communications, cryptographic hardware lifecycle management and CCEB/Five-Eyes experience. Interested?
