Senior Chef

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and reliable Senior Chef to join our hotel kitchen team, starting as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident chef who can take responsibility for kitchen operations, maintain high food standards and help deliver an exceptional dining experience for our hotel guests.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a busy hotel environment, leading by example and supporting the wider kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes to a consistently excellent standard.

* Take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of kitchen operations.

* Assist with menu planning, preparation and development.

* Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety.

* Manage stock levels, food ordering and minimise food waste.

* Supervise, support and motivate other kitchen team members.

* Ensure food preparation and service run efficiently during busy periods.

* Maintain a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment.

* Ensure all dishes meet the hotel's quality and presentation standards.

Requirements:

* Proven experience working as a Senior Chef, Sous Chef or in a similar senior kitchen position.

* Strong cooking skills and a good understanding of kitchen operations.

* Ability to work independently and confidently under pressure.

* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

* A positive attitude and strong team-working abilities.

* Good knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations.

* Flexibility to work additional hours when required.

Working Hours & Availability:

* Minimum of 40 hours per week.

* Additional hours may be available depending on business requirements.

* Must be available to work every Friday and Saturday – this is essential.

* Immediate start required.

Pay

* £19 per hour – PAYE

* £23 per hour – Self-Employed
