MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER – PERMANENT – WALSALL – circa £70,000 per annum Morson Group require an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a leading building services contractor on a permanent basis to manage several projects across the Midlands. Candidates should have a strong contracting background as a mechanical manager and ideally experience of high value commercial or industrial projects. This is a permanent position available from Autumn 2026. The role will be predominantly office based in South Staffordshire area with site visits as required. As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be reporting into the overall operational lead with responsibility for all mechanical elements on busy sites with electrical values up to approximately £3m, within sectors such as commercial, leisure and education. The Mechanical Project Manager will be fully responsible for the running of projects (up to a maximum of three at one time) from inception through to completion, assisting on design and project planning, overseeing site installation, as well as all cost control and commercial management. Key attributes: • You must have demonstrable knowledge of Project Management or Contracts management roles. • Results driven attitude, leading site team by example to ensure project success. • Excellent client facing skills • Design Review and variations • Financial management of designated projects • Managing site issues and keeping to deadlines • Managing health and safety issues on site It is advantageous for candidates to possess a degree / HNC in Building Services or any other technical qualifications, including SMSTS / CSCS for site management, although all applicants will be judged primarily on their previous experience. This position for a Mechanical Project Manager will offer an annual salary of circa £70,000 per annum plus company benefits, including a car or car allowance.
