Network Field Engineer - Wi-Fi Upgrade and refresh Project

12 month contract

450pd Outside IR35
Please note, candidates must be Scotland based

Ability to work in partnership with IT colleagues, contract companies and operational colleagues attending multiple sites all over Scotland working nights and if required weekends with partners.

Good working knowledge of how Cisco Switches, wireless systems and access points are presented to customer premises.

The ability to identify the equipment installed on customer premises that relates to Wi-Fi delivery and presentation, often in busy and congested sites of various sizes.

Understanding of underlying services that may utilise Wi-Fi.

The ability to trace cabling from comms rooms and cabinets to AP socket, with the assistance of contract company support where appropriate.

Good working knowledge of best practice approaches to stock management, building AP configs, testing and documenting for live service deployment.

Maintaining accurate records in relation to the identification of existing AP units and install of new AP units generating new heat maps

Work with installation contractors to survey, document installs, log issues/snags ultimately signing off their work after observation of the installs, reporting back to key project personnel when required.
