This Enfield school is seeking an ambitious and inspiring Head of Modern Foreign Languages to lead and further develop a thriving, all-through MFL provision within a highly successful academy.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced MFL teacher and aspiring or established middle leader to shape language learning from Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 5, championing high standards, inclusion, and cultural enrichment.

This is a high-performing all-through academy, serving ages 2-19, known for its strong outcomes, inclusive ethos and aspirational culture. The vast proportion of their Sixth Form students progress to university, with a significant group going on to Russell Group institutions.
As Head of MFL, you will:
Lead, manage and inspire the MFL department across the school
Drive high-quality teaching and learning from KS2-KS5
Develop and embed a rigorous, inclusive and engaging MFL curriculum
Use data effectively to raise achievement and close gaps
Promote languages through enrichment, extra-curricular opportunities and cultural capital
What they're looking for
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), experience teaching MFL in a secondary school
Proven ability to raise standards and improve outcomes
Confidence using assessment data to inform teaching and intervention
Strong leadership potential and commitment to inclusive practice
Ideally, you would also have:
Experience teaching A Level
Postgraduate study or leadership development qualifications
