Business Development Manager | Gillingham, Kent | Full Time
37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday, 9:00 am-5:30 pm | £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications Are you a driven Business Development professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact within the education and training sector? Our client is a non-profit organisation which focuses on offering quality Accountancy, Health Care and other specialist training courses. They are now looking to add a bright and ambitious Business Development Manager to the team. This position would best suit professionals who are focused on growing the business and extending the reach of its products and services in order to increase the companys revenue. The Role The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Head of Centre with responsibility to identify and maintain strong relationships with existing and new apprentices, employers and organisations they work with. The role includes ensuring that the company is operating effectively, liaising with learners, employers, parents and organisations and providing support for the smooth operations of the centre. Key Responsibilities Seeking new business, employers and creating new strategies to successfully reach new business Building and maintaining relationships with all parties Seeking new learners, parents, referral organisations and schools to create new strategies and outreach activities to successfully reach new business Attending events at different schools to build relationships with schools, learners and employers and staying up-to-date with new trends Creating monthly targets for new learners, parents and employers and actively working towards reaching them Possessing a strong understanding of the organisations values and attitude in the industry and having the ability to sell services Completing any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the business Requirements Essential Previous Business Development Manager experience within the educational sector Ability to adapt roles and responsibilities to suit the needs of the business as it grows Solid understanding of business and marketing principles Excellent time management skills, problem-solving skills and ability to multitask Strong leadership qualities to lead a team Ability to motivate yourself and others Excellent customer service skills Strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software applications Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in English Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion Energetic, organised, keen to learn and make a positive impact Desirable Previous experience within the educational sector Whats In It For You Salary of £32,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience and qualifications 20 days annual leave plus 8 statutory bank holidays Employer Pension contributions Opportunity to work for a non-profit organisation focused on delivering specialist training courses Whats next?
