Assembly Fitter

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing business in Luton. This is a permanent opportunity within a structured production environment, offering long-term stability and development. The role: • Assembling and disassembling units to engineering specifications • Working from detailed engineering drawings and build instructions • Carrying out mechanical assembly and fitting tasks • Preparing units for despatch, including basic finishing work • Using measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality standards • Supporting pressure testing and inspection processes • Completing production documentation and updating ERP systems • Working closely with wider teams to meet production targets What we’re looking for: • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment • Strong mechanical assembly or fitting skills • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings • Experience using hand tools, air-powered, and electrical tools • Good attention to detail and a methodical approach • Apprenticeship or recognised mechanical qualification (desirable) What’s on offer: • Permanent role with long-term stability • Training and development opportunities • Competitive benefits package including pension and healthcare scheme
