Teacher of Food Technology

Teacher of Food Technology - Secondary School, Crosby, Merseyside Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a supportive secondary school in the Crosby area to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Teacher of Food Technology for a long-term supply role. This position is to start as soon as possible and will continue until July. The successful candidate will teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging practical and theory lessons that inspire students to develop their cooking, nutrition and food preparation skills. About the role Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4. Teach students key skills in food preparation, nutrition, hygiene and healthy eating. Plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons that cater to a range of abilities. Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback. Maintain a safe and organised learning environment within the food technology classroom. Support positive behaviour and encourage student participation and confidence. Start date: ASAP | Duration: Until July.What we're looking for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching Food Technology within a UK secondary school setting. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils. Confidence delivering both practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum. A strong understanding of food safety and classroom health and safety procedures. An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).Pay and benefits Competitive daily pay rates, depending on experience. Long-term opportunity until July.
