Senior Town Planner - Devon Hybrid Working | Excellent Career Progression | Competitive Salary + Benefits An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Town Planner to join a highly respected and growing planning consultancy based in Devon. Acting on behalf of our client, we are seeking a commercially minded and motivated planner who is looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, rural and mixed-use developments throughout the South West and beyond. The Opportunity You will join an established and collaborative planning team, taking a lead role in managing projects, preparing and submitting planning applications, and providing strategic planning advice to a varied client base. The role offers genuine autonomy, exposure to high-quality work, and a clear pathway for professional development. Key Responsibilities * Managing a range of planning projects from inception through to determination * Preparing planning appraisals, statements and appeals * Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders and clients * Providing strategic planning advice across a variety of sectors * Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate * Attending client meetings, site visits and public consultations Candidate Requirements * MRTPI qualified (or working towards chartership with significant experience) * Previous experience within a planning consultancy or local authority environment * Strong knowledge of the UK planning system * Excellent written communication and report writing skills * Ability to manage workloads independently and build strong client relationships * Full UK driving licence preferred What's on Offer * Competitive salary dependent on experience * Hybrid and flexible working arrangements * Friendly and supportive team culture * Strong pipeline of interesting projects * Ongoing professional development and career progression opportunities * Excellent benefits package This position would suit an ambitious planner seeking to join a well-established consultancy with an excellent reputation and long-term growth plans in the South West market.
